- 2 cups shredded peeled potatoes(450 g)
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided (150 g)
- 1 tsp. salt, divided (5 g)
- 4 eggs
- ½ cup milk (120 ml)
- 1 cup chopped fully cooked ham
- ½ cup chopped onion (150 g)
- ½ tsp. pepper (2.5 g)
- In a large bowl, combine shredded potatoes with ½ cup cheese and ½ teaspoon salt, and then mix thoroughly.
- Pour potato mixture into a greased 9-inches pie plate, and then press to make sure all edges of the pie plate are filled with the mixture.
- In another bowl, beat eggs and milk, and mix the ham, onion, pepper and remaining cheese and salt.
- Pour this egg mixture into the pie plate with potato crust. (Pie will be very full).
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 45- 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool for 5 minutes, and then slice into triangular pieces.
- Serve potato pie and enjoy!
