- 2 cups shredded hash browns (450 g)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (100 g)
- ½ cup shredded Monterey jack cheese (50 g)
- 1 tsp. salt, divided (5 g)
- 5 eggs
- ½ cup milk (120 ml)
- First, preheat the oven to 350°F
- In a mixing bowl, combine potatoes with ½ cup cheddar cheese and ½ teaspoon salt. Mix well.
- Press this mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a greased 9-inch pie plate.
- In a separate bowl, beat together eggs and milk.
- Add the remaining cheeses and salt. Mix thoroughly and then pour over potato crust.
- Bake for 50 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Let it stand for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Slice the pie, serve and enjoy!
