With a little help of your left over ingredients like cheese and ham, you can easily have a cheesy and meaty baked potato that’s very fulfilling. This dish is high in protein and suits your low-calorie diet. This recipe makes one serving; it is very quick and simple to do. Here’s how to do it.
Ingredients
1½ teaspoons olive oil (7.5g)
1 ounce ham, diced (30 g)
2 tablespoons minced onions (30 g)
1½ ounces cheddar cheese, shredded (38 g)
2 teaspoons minced parsley (10 g)
Instructions
First, wash and scrub potatoes thoroughly while pre-heating the oven to 400 degrees. Bake the potatoes at 400 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until well cooked.
While allowing the potatoes to cool, sauté oil, ham, and onion in a saucepan. Another alternative is to place these in a microwave-safe dish and microwave on high for 1 minute.
Sprinkle cheese over hot split baked potato and microwave 30 seconds. Lastly, spoon over ham and onion mixture to the hot split baked potato and sprinkle with parsley.
Notes
You can also add a small amount of nutmeg and peanuts as toppings to make it more sophisticated.
